As much as I love Paris, one of the biggest challenges it presents, is finding accommodation. It is easy to get overwhelmed trying to find somewhere to lay your head for your stay in the City of Lights. I’ve written previously about my tips on renting an apartment in Paris but let me make this even easier for you. Today I’m going to share with you the agencies/sites I recommend for sourcing and booking your Paris apartment rental.
Haven in is a boutique rental agency that offers hand-picked and personally vetted properties in Paris (and beyond). The very reassuring element of the agency is the high level of service offered. There will always be someone on site in your apartment to greet you on arrival and to spend time settling you in, giving you a detailed property introduction and making you feel immediately at home. Your ‘greeter’ will live close by and is just a phone call or short ride away to help resolve any issues or simply to offer recommendations.
I’d also highly recommend perusing the Hip Paris Blog for lots of travel tips and information before your trip.
The thing I like about Petite Paris is that it offers a select range of accommodation, both bed and breakfast style and independent apartments. You won’t be overwhelmed with thousands of properties, but will instead be able to search and filter from the 100+ properties to find the one just right for you. The site is run by Regina Ferreira, an Australian who spends time in Paris each year sourcing and inspecting properties and Regina can assist you in deciding which property is right for you.
Paris Perfect is another specialist Paris apartment rental agency that prides itself on its high standards of customer service. Offering an English speaking reservations team that are available 7 days a week, the team can answer any question and know every detail of every apartment.
I often hear travellers express concern about their fear of cancellation of bookings made via Airbnb, and Paris Perfect are countering this with their guarantee of ‘No Owner Last Minute Cancellations’. Their service ethos continues upon your checking in to an apartment. When you arrive at a Paris Perfect apartment, you will be met by a ‘greeter’ who will introduce you to the apartment, show you how everything works, offer tips and answer all your questions.
And we can’t talk about Paris Perfect without talking about the great range of listings they offer with magnificent Eiffel Tower views!
Guest Apartment Services
For a touch of luxury, you can’t go past Guest Apartment Services. Listing exclusive properties with personalised concierge services, the agency offers a select 55 apartments, with 90% of these properties located on the Ile Saint Louis. The agency offers 24-hour help in the form of an emergency/all hours mobile number provided to all guests and a local compendium, with many recommendations, is available in each apartment.
You’l enjoy a host of benefits and special touches and can also choose from an additional range of fee for service options including airport transfers and babysitting.
Adrian Leeds is the doyenne of Paris apartments, both as rentals and for sale. She operates Parler Paris Apartments and offers a range of luxury apartments with the Adrian Leeds “seal of approval” you can trust for providing reliable and quality holiday rental accommodation.
Plus one more……
We can’t really talk about apartment holiday rentals without mentioning Airbnb. You will of course find 1000’s of apartment rentals on the site but I do have to add a note of caution. Paris has previously passed a law that apartment owners are only legally allowed to rent out their apartment for no more than 120 days a year. This is not an issue if you a renting a ‘room’ via Airbnb but if you’re looking to book a ‘whole’ apartment, proceed with caution.
If you’re renting from one of the listing sites noted above, they will ensure owners and apartments are compliant, hence reducing your risk.
