Casa Principessa

Casa Principessa, parts of which date back to the 1700s, was uninhabited for 40 years before being lovingly restored by a group of local artisan builders using the old stones, tiles and wooden beams found within the property. It has been transformed into a charming and comfortable villa with all the modern conveniences needed.

The main house has 3 levels and there is a two-storey outbuilding. Together there are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a lounge room, sitting room, kitchen, dining room, laundry, equipment room and original wood-fired pizza oven. You will also find a pool and alfresco dining areas.

Ground floor:
Comprises kitchen, dining and lounge area. An authentically rustic kitchen is modern in everyway with a stainless steel oven, gas burner stove top, dishwasher and all the utensils you need. Wooden beams from the kitchen continue across the lofty ceiling into the delightfully restored dining room. Two steps down from the dining room is the lounge area with open fireplace, stylish Italian leather lounge suite, audio system and CD player.

First floor:
Located on the first floor of the house you will find a luxurious double bedroom and a beautifully furnished twin bedroom. The large wooden windows frame picturesque views of The Sibillini Mountains and the historic villages of Gualdo and Sarnano. The first floor bathroom is the first of two bathrooms in the Main House and offers a functional room with modern Italian fittings containing a shower, toilet, bidet and basin. The sitting room or second lounge room is comfortably furnished with a double sofa bed. Here you can access wireless internet and watch satellite television and DVDs.

Second floor:
The second floor is devoted completely to the spacious, luxurious and cathedral-like Master Bedroom. The room has been completely restored to its original beauty and features antique furnishings, king size bed and an adjoining ensuite. The large ensuite has been rebuilt with stylish and modern Italian fittings. The room houses two basins, a huge bath and a separate walk-in shower as well as toilet and bidet.

Outbuilding:
On the lower level is a large laundry containing a functional separate bathroom with shower. Also on this level is the pool equipment room. On the upper level you will find a spacious twin bedroom next to which is an area containing a fully restored, working, wood-fired pizza oven. The 10 x 5 metre pool is situated to capture all the stunning views available from the property and is complemented by an array of outdoor dining options.
