Location
Tanques is a rural village located 1h 50min west of Paris by train (Argentan station); 40 mins from Normandy landing beaches, 30 mins from Caen, 1 hour from the beaches of the Côte Fleurie - Caborg, Deauville and Honfleur; 1.5 hrs from the magnificent Mont Sant Michel or the architectural delights of Rouen, 1.5 hours from the Loire valley and Brittany's coastal towns.
Ferries to the UK leave from Ouistream port in Caen.
Normandy is world famous for its fabulous cheeses - Camembert, Livarot, Pont l'Evêque; as well as its local productions of cider, perry and calvados. In the area, there is a daily choice of fresh produce markets (3 days a week in Argentan, 1 day in Ecouché, 1 day in Carrouges).
