John and his wife Julie were planning on hosting a group of friends and family in France to celebrate John's 50th. They were looking for accommodation and wanted some advice about suitable regions to base themselves. They wanted to ensure their guests were accommodated together or close by. John and Julie also wanted some assistance in planning a sit down evening dinner for the 50th but were not sure how to go about this.

Getaway Guru researched the most suitable regions (for easy access and to minimise further travel for guests flying into Paris or London) and then located suitable properties from our portfolio within that region. We recommended a country house that had additional apartments that housed all together 25 people. Any additional family/guests to attend were directed to a B&B only 5 minutes away and recommended by the property owner.

When John and Julie confirmed the suitability of the accommodation, Getaway Guru then worked to determine some suitable options for hosting the birthday dinner. It was suggested that perhaps the best approach was to book a local restaurant and so menu plans and quotes were obtained to assist John and Julie in their decision-making. They were able to liaise with the restaurant owner to put together a menu and wines to their liking.

Johns 50th went off magnificently and both John and Julie are talking about celebrating John's 60th in Tuscany.
